It may be deeply unhealthy for them to keep MU*ing in general without taking a long look at why they react this vociferously toward strangers about something that largely has very few stakes. It sounds like they have a pattern of this behavior on that Haven game, so asking them to do an in-depth analysis of their reactions and why they experienced this extreme affective response might be a bit much, but … yeah.
